Call for Papers / Submit a Paper
Those interested in presenting a paper at the 33rd Annual Conference of the European Association of Law and Economics (EALE) are invited to submit their paper (at least in its draft form), together with a short abstract, following the online procedure at the bottom of this page.

We encourage the submission of new, creative, and also unorthodox ideas. Policy papers are also highly welcome. Priority in selection will be given to completed papers.

For each topic area, at least two area organizers will provide expertise in evaluating the papers. They will review the papers and recommend session panels to the Program Committee, which bears ultimate responsibility for defining the program.
Regular/Short Papers
The conference will allow for the presentation of regular papers (30 minutes for presentation, comments, and general discussion) and of short papers (with an overall time of 15 minutes, and no assigned commentator). The short paper format is open to all: it provides a format for accomplished scholars intending to present new ideas in a more initial phase and/or for the presentation of parts of a PhD thesis by young scholars. Short papers will be presented in separate concurrent sessions. Authors may submit their papers either to both formats or may deliberately opt for one single option. There will be no poster sessions.
Awards
Young scholars (who have received their Ph.D. not earlier than two years prior to the Conference) are invited to enter the competition to win the Göran Skogh Award for the most promising paper presented at the EALE Conference. The winner will receive EUR 1,000.
Registration fee:
Participants under the age of 30 pay a non-refundable registration fee of € 120 and a mandatory membership fee of € 30. Other participants pay a non-refundable registration fee of € 250 and a mandatory membership fee of € 50. The registration fee covers all meals. Participation only to the Banking Union sessions of Saturday entails a € 50 fee. A limited number of places in university accommodations will be provided for free to students.

- Final papers due by: August 10, 2016
- Registration by: August 10, 2016 (latecomers’ supplement of EUR 50 applies thereafter)
