Eale 32nd_2015 Vienna-1

The 32nd Annual Conference of the European Association of Law and Economics (EALE) will be held on September 17-19, 2015 in Vienna, Austria at the University of Vienna, Law School and Economics Faculty.

Keynote lectures will be delivered by:
  • Josef Zechner (Vienna University of Economics and Business)
  • Massimo Motta (Chief Competition Economist, DG Competition, European Commission)

There will be two panel discussions, one addressing current challenges of the judiciary within the EU (to be held in the beautiful building of the Austrian Supreme Court) and the other on the European Banking Union (to be held at the Economics Faculty).

Vienna is the capital of Austria, a beautiful city full of history and splendid imperial heritage. The conference will take place at the University of Vienna, which celebrates its 650th anniversary in 2015. The conference sites (Law School, Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Vienna, and Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics, Oskar-Morgenstern-Patz 1, 1090 Vienna) are both located in the city center. The Wednesday evening reception will be held in the piano nobile, or “Bel Etage”, of a 19th century city palace, the Thursday reception in the Austrian Parliament, and the Friday conference dinner in the reception rooms of the Austrian Ministry of Justice.

  • Paper submission deadline: April 28, 2015 (deadline extended to May 8, 2015)
  • Communication of Acceptance: June 10, 2015
  • Final papers due by: August 10, 2015
  • Registration by: August 10, 2015
