The 43rd EALE conference will be held at two venues located in Warsaw.

Warsaw is a dynamic European capital combining rich history with a modern academic and business environment. Being an important regional hub for research, innovation, and international cooperation, it is an experienced host of international academic events, including the 2013 EALE Annual Conference. Warsaw has an excellent public transportation network and direct international connections (two major international airports, railway hub).

GALA DINNER
The conference gala dinner will take place on Thursday evening (day 1) at Concept 13 Restaurant, located on the top floor of the Vitkac luxury department store in the center of Warsaw (9 Bracka Street, Warsaw). The venue offers panoramic views of the city and is within easy reach of both conference locations and recommended hotels.
TRANSPORTATION
Warsaw has two international airports (Chopin Airport and Modlin Airport), as well as railway connections with many neighboring countries (Central Railway Station – Dworzec Centralny / Warszawa Centralna Station).
From the Chopin Airport you can reach the city center by taxi, Uber/Bolt, urban trains (SKM), and city buses. Taxi stands are located directly at the terminal entrance/exit.
Ride-hailing services such as Uber/Bolt are available at a designated pickup zone located in the taxi area (mobile app required). Estimated cost: 50 PLN
Urban trains (SKM) depart directly from the airport (follow the signs in the terminal) and offer a fast way to travel to the Central Railway Station (or Śródmieście Railway Station located nearby). Estimated cost: 4.40-20 PLN
City buses depart directly from the terminal entrance/exit (follow the signs in the terminal). They provide convenient access to the city center and the Old Town. Cost: 4.40 PLN (single ticket)
From the Modlin Airport (served mainly by low-cost airlines) is it most affordable to reach the city center by regional railways (Koleje Mazowieckie) or by coach (Contbus, Flixbus).
Warsaw is known for a good public transportation network including the metro (two lines), buses, trams, urban trains, ridesharing, shared bikes, etc., and affordable ride-hailing and ride-sharing services.
